That’s a good question. And the answer will be different for each of us, and yet always, it will be to begin at the heart. Follow your longing. What is it you hope to find that you do not have now? These questions should beckon us to look for answers that will help quench those eternal desires.
One excellent place to begin is with the thoughts and ideas of those who have sought answers before us. People like Alan Watts, Joseph Campbell, and Timothy Leary, for example. The concepts and ideas authored by these explorers can be eminently helpful for anyone traversing the inner realms.

The Supreme Identity
by Alan Watts
Certainly, Alan Watts’ Supreme Identity is a treasured source of inspiration and thought for many people. Alan’s ever-playful words, even with the most far-out concepts, have opened doors of deeper thought for many.
The book is ostensibly about the Christian religion as compared to the concepts and ideas of Eastern religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism. But the Supreme Identity is so much more than that. Alan’s explorations of metaphysics through the ideas of a devoted wanderer are wonderful and inspiring.
